At what times is the reception desk staffed?

We are always on site in the morning on weekdays. Sometimes in the afternoon or evening until about 8 pm.

Who do I contact with questions if there is no staff member in the hotel?

If you have booked directly with us, please use the chat function until 10pm. Otherwise you can write to: mail@gildors-hotel.de. If it is urgent and cannot wait, please call us and leave a message: +49 177 33 44 118 and we will call you back as soon as we can. Please note: this number is only available to our house guests. No reservation (enquiry) questions will be answered!

How can I reach you by phone?

You cannot - sorry! But write us an email and we will call you.

How does the digital check-in work?

48 hours before arrival you will receive your invitation for online check-in via email. The online check-in is the obligatory registration form which each guest must submit. Error messages can occur - in that case we will contact you if neccessary.  

How do I get into the hotel?

Open the link from the email you received on the day of arrival on your mobile phone and click on the key icon.
The web app opens with access to the hotel and room.
Use the virtual slider to open doors.
All via WiFi and really simple!
Note: make sure your mobile phone is charged.

Metal key deposited in the kiosk opposite the hotel under your name. You can collect it until 11pm on the day of arrival. Return it to reception on departure. The next person will be grateful and you won't have to pay for new keys.

How do I get into my room?

Open WebApp on your mobile phone. Operate the virtual slider of your room door. Done! Attention: make sure that your mobile phone is charged and that you are online. On the day of departure, your access will automatically expire at 11.00 am.

Where is my room?

Your room is located

in the main house, if the room number begins with the numbers 1 - 7. The first digit also indicates the floor. Example: Room 554 is on the fifth floor.

Rooms 860 - 867 are in the guest house. Please go through the hotel lobby to the rear exit to our inner courtyard. Cross the courtyard (approx. 10 steps) and enter the guest house. The rooms are signposted.

In the adjoining building, Collenbachstr. 49, rooms number 102, 102, 103 or 873. Please go through the hotel lobby to the back exit onto the inner courtyard. Go right into the annexe and down the corridor to the first door on the right: rooms 101, 102, 103. Go to the first floor for room 873 (on the left).

Room 870 or 879. Go through the hotel lobby to the back exit onto the courtyard. Go left through to the end. Your room is now either directly in front of you (879) or to your right (870).

Help! I can't get into the hotel or the room?

Use your metal key, which was left for you in the kiosk - opposite the hotel - on the day of arrival. If this is not possible, call us: + 49 177 33 44 118. If you call us after 10 p.m., this will incur additional costs due to entry difficulties for which we are not responsible.

Where can I park?

With us for € 17,- per car/night if you have reserved a parking space in advance.

Please note: Unfortunately, multi-storey car parks are closed on Sundays. Exit is always possible.

Can I book breakfast in addition?

Yes, whilst completing your online check-in, 48 hours prior to arrival.

When and how do I pay for my stay?

All reservations must be secured with a valid credit card. We will charge your credit card before arrival and send you the invoice by email. If your company covers the costs, you have already sent us a written declaration of cost coverage before arrival and we have confirmed receipt. If you do not have a credit card, you transfer the amount to us before arrival.

The company bears the costs

Great. Your company sends us a written declaration of acceptance of costs and a credit card for the purpose of booking guarantee. We take care of everything else to process the payment through your company.

I have no credit card

In this case you pay by bank transfer before arrival. We will send you the account details. Cash payment is not possible.

I cancelled my reservations within the valid cancellation policy, but my credit card has already been charged by the hotel

Don't worry. In this case, the amount charged will be credited back to your credit card.

Arrival and departure times

Your room will be ready for you from 3 pm. Check-out is at 11.00 am. Please take all your belongings with you before you leave. The access code to your room door will expire automatically. If you wish to arrive earlier or leave later, please contact us in advance.

Where can I deposit my luggage if I arrive early or depart late?

When we are on site, we will accept your luggage up to 12kg and bring it to your room. If not, you can leave it in the kiosk opposite, Collenbachstr. 64. We accept no liability for storage in the kiosk. Open daily until 23.00 hrs.

How do I get to the airport, main station, city centre and trade fair by public transport?
Airport & Fairground Airport: Bus no. 721, Stop: Bankstraße, direction D-Flughafen Terminal A/B/C, appr. 3 minutes walking from hotel.
Fair: Bus no. 722, Stop: Bankstraße. Final station MESSE. It takes appr. 15 minutes.

Main train station tram no. 707, get in stop: Essener Straße, opposite the hotel. It takes appr. 12 minutes to arrive.
City centre tram no. 705 get off Heinrich-Heine-Allee, get in stop: Essener Straße, opposite the hotel. It takes appr. 10 to arrive.
